We have created a calendar of the awareness days and weeks in Britain. Not everyone in Britain will take part in all of these events.

The calendar below is useful for teachers planning assemblies or other people planning events on a theme. It is a good starting point point for interesting ideas for assemblies. We have listed days observered in the UK.

School Holidays
The main summer holiday is from mid-July to early September. Children also have two weeks holiday at Christmas and at Easter, plus a week in mid-October and in mid-February. Exact dates vary between each education authority.
