The northern most part of Norway is known as the land of the midnight sun because during the Summer months the sun never sets! They have 100 days without night!

During the winter months, from the end of November to the end of January, the opposite happens, the sun doesn’t rise! This means the norther most part of Norway is completely dark for weeks every winter.
