Who was Adolf Hitler?

Adolf Hitler was a German dictator, obsessed with superiority of the "Aryan race" and the evil of Marxism (which he saw as a Jewish plot). He became a military and political leader of Germany from 1933 to 1945, during which he launched World War Two.

Discrimination against the Jews

Hitler discriminated against the Jews because of their religion. He is responsible for the deaths of millions, including six million Jewish people in the Nazi genocide.

Deep down, human beings are all the same

There are nearly 7 billion people living on Earth.

Human beings are all members of the same species, Homo Sapiens (which means "wise man"), and share the same ancestors. We all share some things in common and we differ in many ways too.

Wouldn’t it be boring if we were all exactly the same?

Some of our differences are physical, such as skin colour, hair texture, or gender. Others differences, such as language, customs, and beliefs, are learned.

We sometimes tease people for being different but do we really want a world where every one looks, acts and is the same as us? Wouldn’t that be boring?

What is discrimination?

Discrimination is treating someone differently or unfairly simply because of differences. For example they belong to a different race, colour, religion or culture.

Discrimination in all forms is wrong

We should respect people for their individuality and uniqueness, rather than punishing them. Don’t assume just because someone looks a certain way that they act a certain way. We should all give people a chance.
