“I find your web pages fascinating and very informative. Please can you tell me if any members of the Royal Family are allowed to vote in a General Election?
Thank you in anticipation.” Owen
It is commonly thought that members of the Royal family are not allowed to vote, but this is not true. The Queen can vote, as can members of her family, but they do not do so because in practice it would be considered unconstitutional.

So, they can or cannot not vote…(?)
The Royals can vote but choose not to.
King Edward VIII was adbicated because he married a divorcee. Now that Princes Charles married a divorcee too, can he still be a king if Queen Elizabeth adbicates/ dies? If so, why?
Yes, he can still become King but his new wife will not be Queen.
There are several reasons why Charles marrying a divorcee is more acceptable today than Edward in 1936.
One main difference is that divorce is more acceptable these days.
Hav a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_VIII_abdication_crisis for more
Why do they never show the Queen’s husband on television & on this website?
